The Nigerian music industry boasts of many talented and great musicians in different genres, whether Pop, Afro, Jazz or any other. Over the years, it has been only two of these many musicians that have consistently been doing extraordinarily good, making a lot of names and breaking a lot of records. These two are no other persons than Davido and Wizkid. Their fame and popularity have risen to the extent that they are known all over the world.
However, many consider these two as arch rivals/enemies because; they have never collaborated/featured in the same song, they are two different classes apart, and they don't relate together like other musicians do. But yesterday, Davido proved everybody wrong by what he said to Wizkid. He congratulated him for his newly released album, he also called him a king. See below;
This act surprised a lot of people, and as you can see, it got over
60,000 likes and 5,000 comments in just one hour. Now, it's been more than 1 day after Davido said this, and you may like to know what Wizkid have said concerning this, or how he reacted. Well, the truth is that
Wizkid said nothing, I mean, he has said nothing about it. Despite the fact that he has been online since yesterday, he has failed to reply Davido, or at least acknowledge Davido's tweet. Musicians like;
Yemi Alade, Burnaboy, Patoranking, Wande Coal, Tems, etc, all congratulated Wizkid that same yesterday, and he acknowledged them all, but not Davido. See pictures below;
Even today, the first thing Wizkid did on the social media was to acknowledge/retweet posts where more people were congratulating/praising him, he also posted link to his music video, but in all these, he still failed to acknowledge Davido who congratulated him since yesterday. See pictures below;
This speaks a lot about Wizkid, it also speaks a lot about the relationship he has with Davido. Many, including myself have been wondering why he snubbed Davido, and why he has refused to acknowledge Davido's remark. Some questions people have been asking, and are asking are;
Could there have been something that happened behind, between Davido and Wizkid that we are not aware of? Do Wizkid think that Davido made that statement just for clout, and that it didn't come from his heart? Is Wizkid a man with so much pride? Or could it be that Wizkid have not seen what Davido said about him? These are some of the many questions people are asking concerning this, that needs to be answered, because what Wizkid did is not good at all.
